DIY with Tatties!

Been doing some redecorating, my conservatory was looking a little bland so I decided to paint the main wall and stamp leaves on it using a potato as a stamp. I also tried my hand at carpentry, the piece of wood fixed to wall says Welcome Home and I did this with a hammer and chisel. I hope my dearly departed grandfather would be impressed although his craftsmanship would have been far superior if he was still around. I screwed some picture hooks underneath the plank so that it would be a useful key hook. Now all I need is a rag rug which I will show you in my next post but I am not too sure about it.

A wee stripey doggie!

I got the inspiration for the colourful stripes from the blog I love buttons by emma. She has shared her pattern for a really cute giraffe but my niece Alix wanted a dog. Take a look, her blog is awesome. Just busy making a tiger for my other niece Emily.

Rocket ship with astronaut and aliens

Can’t remember where I got the pattern for this but will add the link once I have. The aliens were my own creation though.

Here is the link to the pattern, have fun!

Basket weave cushion cover

Haven’t created a backing for it yet.

I found a great tutorial on you tube and that’s how I learnt to do basket weave stitch. “How to do basket weave stitch?” ┬áis the name of the video.
